By the by there’s a new character in Enders called Counsellor Barker. I can tell right off that he’s a Ben Bradshaw creation, his first one. He’s a reeeaaaaally one dimensional cliche of a character. Borderline cartoon like.

No not at all, that’s giving him way too much credit. Counsellor Barker is just a one dimensional paper thin cliche of a character. I despair if all of this is a sign of what Ben Bradshaw is going to be giving us. I can see it now, characters will just randomly disappear from scenes with no explanation and then the next scene we just see them pinning another character against a wall by the shirt collar in silence. Sometimes with screaming but usually silence.

Do you mean Counsellor Barker? He’s just a one note creepy ‘corrupt’ counsellor. Really the most basic of basic archetypes. I worry that this will be the running standard of Ben Bradshaw’s work as the new EP of Enders

Well Barkley might not get it right straight away Bobby, but have faith.
I mean everyone is talking about Hollyoaks these days and so if he can bring that magic with him into Enders

IS he responsible for the recent resurgence of Hollyoaks though? I thought that it was their new EP Kate Crooks.

I just made that up
Not sure but I heard that they have a new EP who has come in and axed half of the cast. Usually this is good news for a soap as it shows that the EP is not afraid of making huge changes to achieve their vision. Corrie’s top man is too scared to make any changes at all and the show is now in dire straits.

No it’s ok. My Doctor said that it’s fine for me to talk about it and criticise the EP and the decisions that he’s made etc…it’s just when I start laughing at it and cry for it to be cancelled where you step in.

I know nothing of Corrie though Bobby
I asked my friend who watches Enders about it earlier (We all got a phone alarm thing going off here in Scotland from the government and so lots of people checking up on each other) and she has no time for Corrie and also knows not a jot about it
She does reckon your councillor man is a short lived character though. Something about Rubi Rose blackmailing him after catfishing him, but all to stop the market shutting down
Anyways, I'll listen as best I can with the Corrie stuff Bobby
