Agreed - Olyphant stole every scene he was in and created a memorable character.
regarding Deadwood - you may be a hair disappointed because Olyphant has less time and less crazybut you should like Ian McShane because he's the big scene stealer in Deadwood.

You must watch Justifiedseasons 1 and 2 excellent, 3 was a little less than the others.
There are some really great lines in the episodes.

Only the second movie I've ever seen him in, but I agree, he's fantastic.
I think I judged him too harshly after Die Hard because his competition in that franchise was Alan Rickman, William Sadler and Jeremy Irons and let's face it, that's some stiff competition. Taken on his own he's still plenty of fun, even in that movie.
That man is playing Galaga! Thought we wouldn't notice. But we did.

RParmly, then I must recommend with extreme prejudice The High Life - he shines in this and there is a great ensemble castthese guys are funny!
Next I would recommend Justified series - if you are not hooked after the first episode I will be surprised but OK with it.
If you need another movie, then I guess The Getaway would be next; A Man Apart is a small part but he is sassy in it.
Have fun and let us know

His performance in this movie made me believe he would've made a great Joker had heath Ledger not been chosen.
He got this menacing presence with a bit of jester thrown in there.

                              I didn't see Kelly as a villain.
Kelly was simply a metaphor for becoming a man. Men in the workplace that have worked hard to become what they are, are EXTREMELY territorial in terms of their well being. ALL corporate businessmen are like Kelly. They WILL try to backstab you, get you arrested, and do anything in their power to stop you from f'ing with their business.
That was Matt's 'life experience' and real lesson, which is exactly why he sent Kelly the box of cigars. Kelly isn't the only guy that's going to treat you like that EVERY guy with a career will treat you like that - and Matt appreciated the early life lesson he got from it.
Kelly was a hero imo. He was the guy that most kids never got a lesson from, and it probably came back to bite them in the future. I really would've like a lesson like that back in my early years. Someone to give the real picture of how the world revolves early. It's about building alliances, not pissing the right people off, and if you do have to piss a person off, is the juice worth the squeeze?
I'm sorry RoadSideAssistance, but this is the dumbest thing I've ever read. He was a superb villain. He kidnapped, beat, drugged, and framed a kid for revenge and you're trying to paint him as a role model for all men and boys. You're whole post is about one of the most retarded things I've ever read. Not because you sound dumb, because you don't. You actually sound very intelligent. But it's the stupidity within your point.

He actually has respect for Matt at the end, knowing he's been completely outsmarted and how far Matt has gone for Danielle in taking him on. That was a good twist as were the cigars, showing there was a kind of bond between them.

His acting was good, he could have had some better lines written for him. There were times the acting/writing were worthy of each other. There were times in the movie where it wasn't.

His character in this film reminded me a lot of his character in Go.
                                        http://www.imdb.com/board/10139239/combined
In Go he was a jaded drug dealer who had some great lines: ("It's not like I'm in a highly ethical industry. But Goddamn, Ronna. You screwed me over for twenty lousy hits!") But even as a sordid drug dealer he had a certain charm about himself and managed to seduce Katie Holmes.
