I don't really expect you to grok all that if you've been chugging that Musk Kool-Aid up until now, but if you stop for one second, peel back a layer and look into his history, then you'll start to notice he's not what he presents himself as.
If anything, he's not a genius Tony Stark but a well-connected government welfare queen. How does one get that role in life? By being incredibly useful to some very powerful groups you will never hear about.
Take that in for a second and imagine how important it would be to do a symbolic gesture, like a gang sign while you are on the biggest stage. Imagine how much goodwill you would acquire. Symbols are language to the initiated. To the uninitiated, they just look like nonsense they can easily dismiss so they can get back to their vices and hopium. -
