I never even heard of this film before finding it on the late night weekend time slot for insomniacs and people coming home from the clubs. I can see why it was denied theatrical release and went straight to video. Still it wasn't bad for the time of day.
Too many annoying musical montages. Weak script for a drama and the comedy isn't extended enough to make up for it. BUT the comedic scenes are entertaining, and that is the problem.
I'm a fan of Madeleine but she was channeling Laurie Metcalf (the sister in the "Rosanne" show) in the comedy scenes. This movie would have actually worked better with Laurie herself in the role.

The script was bad to begin with & so was the directing. On top of that Madeline defintely didnt fit well. So it was bad all around.
She was over the top most times.
