Like is it a short about the Dark Tower series by Stephen King? I can't find a review or a place to download this and it provides me with a great amount of curiosity.
Help please? -

Ditto. That's what I wondered, I heard rumors from someone that a film was going to be made of King's amazing epic but coulodn't find anything on it. It might be a load of BS. As for this version I hope it ain't THE Dark Tower as it is only three minutes long and wouldn't do the book justice at all if ya ever hear any info on whether any Dark Tower film will be made, please let me know, and I'll do likewise. Ta.

I saw this in a film class and all it consists of is random colors changing with a nondescript "Dark Tower" in the middle of the shot. I was watching it hoping for at least some reference or something to the Stephen King novels (which are amazing, imho), but I couldn't see anything obvious. There is no narrative to this short film, so maybe Brakhage was paying homage to King's work, but I have no idea. In short, this post really isn't that helpful.

In my opinion the Dark Tower series is virtualy impossible to adapt for film.
You could never capture the entire magnitude in one movie or even a series of movies like LOTR. Or convey the interconecting "beam" so to speak, between all of King's stories to a movie without losing coherence
Therefore ANY Dark Tower movie is almost guaranteed to disapoint.
Better yust enjoy the Marvel imigary.

this is the last time im saying it but this doesnt have anything to do with the marvel comic, its a short experimental piece not a comic adaptation & if you watched it hoping for that you would be very dissapointed.

Chealboy, calm down. Let the people talk about what they want to talk about. How did you get to be the authority on this anyway? Let the people have their say, if it do ya.
I read on SK's website that he doesn't really want to make a movie, as it locks an actor into the part in the minds of its viewers, & he likes people to make up their own minds what Roland looks like, as opposed to him being Billy Bob Thornton.
I would love to see a film version, & we now have the digital effects to make it possible, I think. Let's see what Chealboy can tell us. Professor? -

alright fine, im sorry, i agree im goin nuts here.
but you guys have to understand your relevance to say that this is anything to do with a marvel comic is minimal/near to non existant. I am a huge fan of Brakhages films & a small fan of some comic book movies, but you have to understand if someone was using say a 'Watchmen' forum to only talk about some russian watchmaker or something, you'd wanna clear the facts, this is a short film exploring abstract imagery with no words, no plot, no actors & no sound if i remember correctly. As far as i can tell it has no connection to marvel.
and i am calm, so shut the beep up -

No, this is a Stan Brakhage film. Stan Brakhage is sort of a pioneer of experimental filmmaking. His films are incredible. They are facinating little projects of film that range from only a few seconds to several hours.
