Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Teenage Caveman

    codebreaker2001 — 18 years ago(October 16, 2007 12:03 PM)

Not too long ago, I managed to catch "Teenage Caveman" on Showtime, to which I was able to record. And recently, I was lucky to get my hands on a DVD copy of the film because of a Movie Gallery that is closing down in the nearby area (they had three copies, including the one I bought). Anyways, I was rewatching the film on DVD and I noticed that there were two noticable differences between the broadcast version of the film and the DVD version. I know, to many, it may seem pointless to waste time on this film, but it's just something I couldn't help but notice. Note: I only watched the Widescreen version on the DVD, so I don't know if it's the same in the Full Screen version on the DVD or not.
Ironically, the two bits that I notice occur during a sex scene involving Tiffany Limos' character, Judith.
The first sex scene, in the broadcast version of the film, Vincent (Stephen Jasso) says, "I squirted" after he and Judith have sex. But in the DVD version, the line is not there (and Vincent just collapses onto Judith).
The second scene, the broadcast version, there is a high angle shot that shows David (Andrew Keegan) on top of Judith when she says, "Did you think that prissy little virgin could f#*k you like I did?" However, in the DVD version, when she says the line, the angle is a medium close up shot, the same angle in the following bit where she says, "You can come out now, although you missed the best part."
Like I said, I know I shouldn't have wasted my time with it, but I couldn't help but notice this. If anyone else has, don't be afraid to say so. Thank you for your time. 🙂
But this one's eating my popcorn!

Yeah, I saw that too. The loss of the "squirted" line was quite noticeable. I think there were some other differences too, but it's been a few years since I've seen it. Still I remember that I was very disappointed in the DVD and thought the cable version was much better.
