From what I gather some of the game still takes place in Guilin, some of it could take place in Canton,Beijing or other places.

Nope, 'Fraid not. Shenmue 3 has been canned for the moment as Sega are planning an MMORPG with the Shenmue series now. Meaning the third, and possibly final, chapter will not see the light of day for many years to come.

The reson why Sega are probly making this online version which seems a bit stupid to me as now theyve turned the charaters into Dragon ball Z type crap, neather the less what i think there are trying to do is make this game, see how well it sells, if it is good there bound to make a 3rd one possibly for the x-box 360now to me that seems soooooo good. The reson why Shenmue 3 hasnt been made is that Shenmue was one the most expensive games ever to be made and the since the second one didnt sell as well as the 1st because of the Dreamcast failing to get buyers in late 2002 and then having to result in bringing the game out regardless didnt suceed in getting many buys (only from the die hard fans of the series points finger at me). All i know is that there will be a Shenmue 3 just pray that Shenmue Online sells very well regarless how crap or good it maybe.

Whoa, everybody, don't get your panties in a bun. Yu Suzuki (the creator of the series) said that if he sees that there is enough of a fanbase for the Shenmue series, then he will definitely continue it.
So what I suggest you do is:
get a Japanese dictionary at your local bookstore, find Yu Suzuki's personal website, look for a contact button, and e-mail him saying that you'd like him to continue the series and assure him that there is a large fanbase here.
It may be hard, but it's one way to insure there'll be another Shenmue game.
