me my friend and my english teacher where talking about this when we watched him as mr darcy in P&P and came to the conclusion that colin firth is hot to any girl(or guy, what ever floats your boat) aged 13 and over.

His appeal is wide-ranging indeed. I think it's his warmth (a version of "hot," but not merely sexual) that makes him so attractive to so many different kinds of fans. There's so much of an edge on so many characters in films these days (not to mention on real folks in real life!), and I think people are powerfully drawn to the tenderness that CF brings to many of his charactersincluding Henry Dashwood in this film. It's a relief from reality, and gives people something to dream of, to wish for, in their own lives. Ah, wellcall me a happy/sappy romantic!
