colin firth is hot…weird?

His appeal is wide-ranging indeed. I think it's his warmth (a version of "hot," but not merely sexual) that makes him so attractive to so many different kinds of fans. There's so much of an edge on so many characters in films these days (not to mention on real folks in real life!), and I think people are powerfully drawn to the tenderness that CF brings to many of his charactersincluding Henry Dashwood in this film. It's a relief from reality, and gives people something to dream of, to wish for, in their own lives. Ah, wellcall me a happy/sappy romantic!

Colin is INCREDIBLY HOT!! Don't worry - you're definitely not alone with all the support you've gotten on here! I am also your age and I think he's GORGEOUS!! At first I thought I was a little weird, too, but then again, there's something about those handsome middle-aged Brits
