If this legit happened in real life would you be sad for the UK posters?

They would pretty quickly call in the rifle squad, police in England aren’t as unarmed as you like to think. Many of them carry MP5s and semi-auto rifles in public areas.
Yeah, in London, the UK terror spot. They do not carry them in sleepy little towns like Cambridge, I am sure they have some sort of tactical unit but it is rarely used as riots dont often happen in places like that.
In todays world I guess we would stand a much better chance than in 2002. The army is bigger and more advanced, we do not have as many troops in Iraq now.
It’s be pretty clear from the onset that someone bleeding from every orifice and foaming from the mouth would have some form of rabies, which is what it was.
Yes but what am I saying is this virus takes less than 30 seconds to take hold of you, it would spread so fast at the start that by the time they realised and started to plan ****, a **** ton of people would already be infected and running off infecting more people, and so on and so on.
It makes more sense that this kind of zombie virus could defeat the world tho right? as opposed to the slow walking stupid zombies, always baffles me how they manage to overrun the world in every movie. -

There’s military bases just down the road in every which direction. Also Cambridge is only 15 miles from London. Even in 2002 the UK had one of the largest armies in the world.
Even if the virus takes less than 30 seconds to work, it still has to be spread by physical contact. It would be all too easy for a PSA to go out pretty quickly for people to stay inside while the government quickly cordons off the entire area. Also the average able-bodied person is pretty adept with self-defense using a shovel or other blunt object.

Everybody calm the **** down!
The blood can get n your eyes from crows and ****. That means midges/mosquitos and rats and other carriers of the virus will still be everywhere that people are
The whole point of the movie is that people are ****ed

In the movie a drop of blood falls into a man's eye from a crow's beak
It might have been a very rare occurrence or a commonplace one but I'm sure even a couple of dead crows in the water supply could be a problem to the overall population for a while and that would help spread it further

That would be an interesting and logical explanation, sadly the movie never touches on if animals and insects can spread the virus, or if it can be carried in the water. In the movie it seems that once the infected starve after a few days then they’re no longer a threat.
The sequel does elaborate by having the virus mutate into people becoming asymptomatic carriers.

Well The Winchester has closed down and so another fortified pub with Internet access would be the port of call for me, probably near a jetty
Then I'd TikTok and YouTube all the zombehs dithering around and use Amazon drones to deliver me food and beer from all the earnings from my highly over advertised and limited content offerings.
Then once there is a protocol in place I'd set up charging units for my own GoPro drones and keep videoing everything over the Internet while I'm sitting on a beach, earning 20 percent
