If you haven't seen it already. The first movie to show fast running zombies. Return of the Living dead.

One movie with zombies that could still think and run fast was "The Last Man on Earth" 1964 with Vincent Price. It turns out some might have had a lighter dose of the virus or else had more resistance to it.
I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else

It's been a while since I last saw this/Weeks now, but I'm pretty sure some of the characters get attacked to the point of dying, and THEN turn into "infected".
I know that's not the standard zombie, hence the quotation marks. 0/10, try again.

'Death is not an energy drink.' - Simon Pegg
Speaking of, maybe The World's End? Not strictly zombies, aliens to be exact, but the same principle, with lots of fast chases and fights.

They weren't zombies in 28 Days Later. The movie borrowed heavily from the genre but to be a zombie a person must be dead. These were not dead, they were infected with a rage virus.

Zombieland, World War Z, and the Dawn of the Dead remake are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head with running zombies.
