I definitely thought of that when I posted this, but I'm also seeing how fast this is spreading, and if the winds keep blowing like they are, and they're expected to keep going through until Thursday, there are chances that other southern CA areas are going to be affected including more densely populated urban areas.

Going out on a limb, but I think most of the people affected are in fact Californians.

It makes extreme events more common. Fire season used to end around September-October. Now it's a year round thing. You're seeing the same pattern with hurricanes on the east coast.

CO2's greenhouse effect has been known since the 1800s. It's not some new woke thing that Al Gore invented for world domination alongside the Internet.

Yup but aren’t we exiting an ice age? Hence the temps will be rising regardless.
Have you quantified the man made contribution to this particular crisis? Because I bet China and other developing countries contribute more to it than anyone in the US.

                              I haven't personally.
The EPA says humans are responsible for 95% of it.
Meanwhile China is building more renewable energy than anyone else and it's not even close. Yes they also use a lot of coal but per capita we still pollute 50% more per person.

If we assume the epa figure is correct, what percentage of that contribution is from the US?

About 25% of the CO2 since the industrial revolution is Murican made. Probably more of you count the stuff made in other countries that we create the demand for. Am I just supposed to be a search engine? You can look these things up too you know.
