Is it really that bad?

I can usually find something good to say about almost any movie. I often seek out bad movies deliberately, because they can be fun to watch.
'Feardotcom', however, is just plain bad. It's so bad that it made me feel angry and depressed. It is a miserable excuse for a movie! -

just know that the website in the movie is "feardotcom.com" and judge based on that

I saw this when it was released in the theater, and did like it, but the only thing that really turn me off was the buildings. None of them looks nice, and they all look like no one knew how to clean up at all. That I think is why no one like this movie. The setting is just bad. Every time I watched it, it just was like the trashiest city ever. Dark with very low lighting. Besides that it is a descent B movie. I never like remake Ring. Never watch J-horror or K-horror. Captions are just stupid.
I am a gore watching freak!!!
If it don't have it, it isn't worth the watch. -

Just thought I'd add my 2 cents and say yes, it really is that bad. I gave the film the benefit of the doubt and watched it with low expectations, but it just wasn't good at all. And what sucks the most is that this joins the ranks of being one of the biggest missed opportunities in horror. It had a decent story, a GREAT poster and a good cast what the HELL went wrong? Bad acting, bad writing, plot holesto name a few.
You're either playing dumb, or it's not an act. -

I dunno if you dont try and compare it to others like the ring and such than I thought it was a good movie. The only other movie that I could honestly and feel the best is comparing it to is pulse. There were a lot of good parts, and ive defiantly seen a lot worse. Im surprised it has such a low score on imdb, probley because it was targeted so mainstream and real film watchers will give anything a chance.

So a film you thought was mostly cack you just happened to watch a few times. Christ, there are so many decent worthwhile films out there, with so little time to watch them all, you spend that valuable time watching a mostly 'cack' movie over and over! What are you a masochist or just a fool.

It's really not as bad as the IMDb rating makes it out. Of course, it's no Oscar winner, either. I think it's genuinely scary in some parts.
FearDotCom has a similar 'creppy atmosphere' is The Ring, but the latter is much, much better done.

I'd say watch it if it was free. It is a pretty awful movie, but it was "well made", and if it was for free, you might as well.
And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point? -

It's not horrible really, it's just pretty lackluster. Not all of it was bad, interesting plot and that, but at some parts you can get bored. If there's something horrible about this movie, I would say the ending was. What a absolutely absolutely terrible resolution! So I don't recommend it, but it's at least not the worst movie ever.

For me this piece of beep gives new meaning to "the worst movie I've ever seen". I was suspicious of the title but was willing to believe that a favorite actor of mine (Natascha Mcelhone) would not appear in something so truly dreadful. Wrong! If I had noticed that the director was William Malone and Moshe Diamat the writer of "Black Dahlia" and at least two VanDamme films this piece of garbage would never have gained entrance to my abode. In my opinion it deserves at most a 0/10.
Only two things are actually knowable:
It is now and you are here. All else is merely a belief.
