Anyone feel like this movie would be better if was teen-centric?

Samara Morgan has that serial killer vibe like Michael Myers but instead, they made this movie more like an investigative mystery which I felt didn't fit in with the creepy atmosphere it tried to evoke.

One of the main sources of drama in the story is the theme of parental neglect. Doesn't really work with teenage characters.

There should be balanced perspectives between the teenage characters and Rachel. It'd make it interesting since the curse affects EVERYONE.

Well the short film Rings perfectly incorporates this teen-centric theme. I liked it slightly more than the original lmao.
