      Agreed with the list overall; however, the Nightmare on Elm Street/Friday the 13th series should not be above The Omen, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Others, etc, but your mileage may vary. I also think you should include some of the old British classics, including the original Woman in Black made in 1985.
      The Shining tops my list, too, btw. Good job.

            Great list. I would also include "Ghost Story" featuring Fred Astaire. It came out in the 80s. It's a classic ghost story, not much gore, but scares me every time I watch it.
