I got a few laughs out of it, but as a whole I thought it was a pretty crappy movie. I liked The Hangover, and absolutely loved Due Date, bur Old School was just not very funny or good in any way.
I think Will Farrell got too much space, and that guy just isn't funny. He's just a pain to watch. -

Craig Kilborn was the funniest actor in this movie, IMO. I can't really think of any other "laugh out loud" moments.
Kilborn didn't have any funny lines b/c he was playing the 'dick boyfriend'. Is your point that the movie is so humorless that a guy who wasn't supposed to be funny was in the fact THE funniest in it? -

"And its not just that I hate Todd Phillips' movies because I really, really enjoyed "School for Scoundrels."
Hated Hangover and Old School but loved School for Scoundrels. I hope u don't expect anyone to take your comedic opinion seriously lol. -

I was thinking the same thing. I really wanted to like School for Scoundrels. But I think that movie is the one that was not funny, and fell flat.
The Beatles haven't reunited to enter kick boxing competitions. -

Wrong. I'm under 20 and I did not enjoy this movie that much.
Short Summary:
*Nothing but frat-boy humor (I hate frat animals)
*Luke Wilson is an unfunny regular guy
*Vince Vaughn is a talkative, annoying, unfunny guy
*Old guy dying from breasts is not funny
*Drama mixed in
*The thing with the antagonist at the end not funny
*Jokes fall flat (dicks attached to boulders, really?)
*Not Will Ferrell's best (which was Step Brothers btw)
Even Wedding Crashers isn't that good, but Will Ferrell's cameo was the best thing it had too offer.
There. Case Closed -

See.. you found step brothers funny, or best, which I didn't like.. so without sounding off like many do here.. we have our own preconceived thoughts on what is funny. I will never tell a friend "how the hell did you find that funny" ..simple he is not me thats why situational comedy will never die.. it's different for everyone. For the guy that laughs at a fart joke, or Seinfeld to each your own, Just happy your laughing

I know this is old, but I fired up Old Scholl again after getting it for free. I tried it years ago when it first came out, and I simply couldn't get into it.
So I tried again, after watching Anchorman last night, which I think it one of the funnier movies I've seen in a very long time.
But man, I just didn't find any scenes that made me laugh. I'm not saying Anchorman was a brilliant comedy, but there were so many scenes that stood out as laugh out loud funny. Any time Carell was in frame, it was usually brilliant.
I just didn't feel that with this. I love so many of the actors here, and in theory it should be brilliant, but in reality I was just underwhelmed by it from start to finish.
I also didn't like The Hangover, which I tried to go into with no preconceptions, however it just didn't click with me.
But I think comedies, unlike any other movie genre, are the most subjective.
I was disappointed, too, as I so wanted to like this. -

"Therefore, let me preface this by saying that I get laid a ton.."
You need to try a different tact mate.. Maybe sleeping with women might help that lack of sense of humor you have!! :D:D:D
(Actually, I implore you do the above, it's "Guy Code"!!)
