Its just brilliant.
Reminds me of a time when movies and shows had
something distinctive to them, call it a heart or soul if you want.
Not like today with all the casual and trivial characters and plot,
that you are likely to forget the next day and sometimes do not even know
the names of some characters anymore.
I can finally understand the blow it was for fans having it cancelled.
Imagine it was (re)made with the budget and possibilities of something
like Westworld, GoT and the like..
On the other hand maybe the low budget look and light-heartedness
just made it that great.
On his way down past each floor,
he kept saying to reassure himself
So far so good -

I had the same reaction when I first viewed it. Was watching and bought the DVD set the next day so I could see them all in proper order. Did it in one sitting.
The best show that should have run for years.

So glad you got to watch the series and enjoy it for what it was in its brief, shiny moment.
Gorram it, got somethin' caught in my eye It would have been a show to marvel at if it had been given another season or six.
Bah, I'm sad they're taking out the message boards. Hope they add in something (not Facebook-login-centric) that still allows people to connect in ways like this after having positive experiences with shows and movies. Browncoats forever!

I wish I could watch it for the first time all over again.
I don't think it should be re-made. That would kill the charm. I wish it had been allowed to continue on though.

In the movie River Tam is rescued from the government facility. That means she should have NEVER been in the series at all because the events of the series occur prior to the movie. It is a
major
continuity issue.

I'm not sure what the problem is. Simon had already mentioned he spent his entire fortune getting her away from the government. Not sure how that would affect her presence on the show.
The only reason she was even on the show is because Simon had freed her, and they were on the run.
That was just a flashback at the beginning of the movie. Or rather, a video recording of the events The Operative was reviewing. There is no major continuity issue.
So many stories, so little time.
