    Some highlights from the article.
During a panel last month at the TCA 2017, Madden told Rotten Tomatoes hes open to a Firefly reboot (via TV Overmind). Of course, hes only interested if Whedon wants to do it, and Whedon is busy with movies. Madden doesnt want more episodes of Firefly without The Avengers: Age of Ultron director.
Theres also the matter of whether Whedon would want to make more episodes of Firefly, which hes always held the same position on: hed do it if it felt right and when the cast is freed up from their busy schedules. First and foremost, Whedon wants to tell another story, not just find an excuse to get together with his friends.
Years ago he said hed take another look at the idea when Fillion isnt starring in Castle anymore, which is now the case, and when hes no longer the Tom Hagen of the Marvel Universal, which hes not anymore. He said he might look and see where the market is then.

Whedon should get Fox to foot the bill for a treatment and scripts, with Fox ownership subject to a signed contract for a full season.
Once all the prep work is done, then he should pitch it to Netflix for a 3-year deal, and if they sign tell Fox to beep off.

Wow. I haven't seen one of you "how dare you have hope" people on here in a while.
I'm just passing on information. No need to get upset.

Will plans for a reboot be cancelled too?
I'd riot and probably end up chained up like Hannibal Lecter.

It won't be the same without Ron Glass.

With Book already dead in the movie, they won't have to explain his absence.

As much as I want more Firefly, I'm happy with what we got. The 1 season is so special I honestly don't feel the need for any more. Plus no Ron Glass, as has been mentioned 😞
