Is the Serenity your favorite space boat?

Yes, very often said incorrectly.
Even those in the Navy often add 'the" before a name.
it is the same method by which old wives tales and urban myth/legends are born.
A mistruth repeated often enough gains the weight of truth.
Another one heard commonly enough is the term "Aegis Class Cruiser" or "Aegis Class Destroyer"
Aegis is not a class of ship. It is a Combat Sensor/Weapons Integration System. It is installed aboard Ticonderoga Class Cruisers and Arleigh Burke Class destroyers. (as well as a few select foreign warship classes like the Japanese Kongo Class).
I joined the Navy to see the world, only to discover the world is 2/3 water! -

It's right up there with the Millennium Falcon. I think what makes Serenity and MF believable is that they are not gleaming super-tech ships, like most of the Star Trek ships were. They are beaten and battered and show signs of wear and tear - they have character.
The DVD extra about the ship as a character is interesting. -

I suppose currently my favorite would have to be Serenity.
Probably because it feels like a home with the decorations Kaylee adds to her cabin and the dinner table where the crew takes their meals. It seems to have a soul provided by the crew through their comments through out the series.
Millennium Falcon was my favorite for years before Serenity, but we only see bunk space once and they never ate aboard her once making the ship loved and appreciated but still just an appliance.
The Raza from "Dark Star" has attempted to bridge that gap but is way off, too dark and doesn't seem to come close.
My all time favorite space boat? "The Tardis" from Doctor Who but only just a hair above Serenity only because it can travel in more than 4 dimensions. Tho, I would rather ship out on Serenity since there are no aliens and less danger.
(P.S. "The" is correct use of the name since all through the series they refer to it as such.) -

She's a butt ugly old klunker and I love her with a passion.
Millennium Falcon's another favorite of mine. Not sure which of those two boats I like better, but Serenity's definitely at least tied for first place.
I'd've gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling kids.

You'd have to define "favorite." If you mean the space ship I'd most like to be on..No. Absolutely not.
No way in hell
. Can't even take a shower. And the galley..nope.
I'd want something with a lot more amenities. Like a cruise ship version of the Enterprise D.
Though Lazarus Long's ship Dora from "To Sail Beyond the Sunset" would be nice, but no mention of holodecks.
