that asian woman might as well been a cat in a window
she served no purpose
she never warned ashely of any oncoming danger
she didn't point
she didnt shake her head
called the police
she might as well been a piece of furniture. -

what i think is that she was ment to lead the audience into believing that she ws the murderer cuz she kept watching her and doing nuthin to help. i dont know for sure but my friend thought the same thing.

My impression of the "asian lady" was to give the viewers an understanding of how messed up Judd's character really was. I feel like she was watching Judd because she was worth watching - possibly repeating a series of nightly welfare checks as Judd is clearly an alcoholic. It's only after she sees Judd and confirms she still breathing does she turn off her own light each night and goes to bed. However it doesn't appear that she gives two beep about Judd's character (she passes out and either the neighbor didn't see it or just thought she was drunk) so it also makes me think she watches because she thinks she's shameful. Either way I think they're trying to see how pitiful Judd's character is after hours.

I'm not sure how to answer that. Depends on the filmboard, I guess?
Things are gradually changing with the popularity of Fresh of the Boat and Crazy Rich Asians, but the Hollywood status quo is still largly caucasian and they seem to want to keep it that way. -

Asian pop culture is taking over the world actually. K-pop demon hunters is very popular in Hollywood now.

I had never heard of that, but it sonuds like fun judging from the title. I'm living in Mexico now after being priced out of Colorado (and likely won't be returning until we've gotten rid of the Orange Ham Hock from hell), so I've been some things in US pop culture.
How is K-Pop Demon Hunters? Would you recommend it? -

It's a fun movie. It's giving 90s Disney movies vibes actually.
