It's a disaster movie not a documentary. I wish we could just stick to talking about the movie itself, and stop running each other down with politics and personal remarks. It's a MOVIE. we - liberal or conservative - don't think that the "science" of Frankenstein is plausible. Just enjoy (or don't because you didn't like it) a disaster movie with pretty fun special effects, even if they're not accurate.
It's ALIVE. -

Agree that this is a disaster movie, period. The science in this film is so over the top it is laughable. Anybody using this film to try and prop up their viewpoint on global warming is lacking in any real scientific knowledge.
That said, get used to climate change. It has been around since before humans were on this planet and it will be around long after we leave. Our own narcissism has us believing that we control the Earth and the climate. The reality could not be further from the truth. -

first, it's only a movie. second, not that long ago, these types of films were called "exploitation films", and were made simply by exploiting anything in the news for a quick buck. exploitation films are sometimes being filmed AS the news event is still playing out in the headlines!! therefore, I doubt this film is anybody's "wet dream" (nicely crass, sir!). it's more realistically an exploitation film made to cash-in on any fearmongering going on in the media about climate change. hell, this specific type of exploitation has been going on since at least the early 70s! nothing new here so, sit back and enjoy this film! it's meant to be silly and kinda dumb: nowadays, it's called a "popcorn movie".

If liberals are as truly concerned for the environment as they say they have a funny way of showing it. I don't see mass boycotts of airplanes, vehicles, paper products and everything else they say hurts the environment. Leo DiCaprio has several mansions and flys a private jet everywhere, and has a yacht. What a hypocrite.
