If you order something and they get it wrong, will they mess with your food if you ask for another one like not in a super nice way but just a normal way?

yeah, there's been incidence everywhere and it is not a stretch to imagine everyone at one point or another has eaten some kind of messed up food. The domino's pizza scandal just a few weeks ago is a great example of this happening EVERYWHERE.
I've known of people putting visine in food at middle of the road sit down restaurants, taking out the trash with gloves on and using the same gloves to make sandwiches at subway, dropping food at jack in the box, people spitting in pizza and cooking random things off the floor in the pizza.
The majority of the time it's when the person is a jack ass, but unfortunately there's lots of instances where the kindest of customers will still get "mishandled" food. The domino's video scandal is like I said, a great example of this.

Most servers (and I am a server) are sane, normal people. If I go out to eat, I expect to get what I ordered. So usually if someone's food is wrong, I'm on their side. I have no problem taking it back and getting it right.
On the other hand, if you're a jerk and yell or act rude to me, that's when sh(t might happen.
But like I said, don't be afraid to tell your server you didn't get what you ordered. A lot of times they're busy and might not even notice if you don't let them know.
One exception is steaks. Everybody has a different idea of what Medium or Medium Rare is, so it's never going to be perfect. If you have to send back your steak 3 times, beware of floor seasonings or spit gravy coming out on steak number 4.

See this Thread: "Waiters should be grateful they get any tip at all." I guarantee that person gets their food messed with all the time. If they knew how many hockers they've eaten, they'd probably change their attitude toward restaraunt workers.

well, based on what you guys have said here then my opinion of restaurant workers is lowered.
If you tamper with someones food then you are scum.
Sure people will piss you off and might seem to you that they deserve it. But really? Grow up don't like your job? Get another one.
I worked as a waiter and barman and never beep with anyones food or drinks.
Whats next, piss of your car mechanic and they'll cut your brake lines? Annoy your doctor and he'll remove the wrong body part?
I agree that some people are beep and could do with being brought down a peg, but thats up to your manager to tell them not to treat their staff that way. Which we used to do in one of the shops I worked in.
If someone is rude refuse to serve them, preferably to their face, until they speak to you politely. If they refuse ask them to leave. If your management don't back you on this then find a company that will.

At the restaurants where I worked, tainting the food was something almost everyone fantasized about, but NOBODY actually did. Like a lot of people have said, you can't survive in the food service business if you easily get worked up to the point where you need to taint people's food.
In fact I remember specific incidents at each place where the topic was brought up jokingly in the kitchen and the cooks or wait staff present would make clear in no uncertain terms that it wasn't even to be joked about.

I worked in restaurants for about 10 years and I have never seen it happen, not even once. Not even close.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA I plead the fifth! Not THAT bad obviously, or hello she would be able to TASTE the pubic hair! AHAHAHAHA people that act "too good" to THINK for a moment WHY they tip need to THINK FOR A MOMENT that that person SERVES you your food I did phone customer service (never again) for a homeowner's insurance company and sometimes I REALLY wonder, WHY the hell would you be SO rude to someone who has access to your home address, phone number, pictures of your home, sometimes even your SOCIAL SECURITY number, mortgage information, etc. etc. AND I always assumed people would NOT be as rude in person (ie customers at restaurants) because over the phone you can just BE A COMPLETE A$$ and not have to look the person in the eye as to wonder, "WHY the hell am I being such a douche bag to someone I DON'T know?!?! BUT apparently, people are rude both ways. Over the phone NOT to your face AND in person, at restaurants. Customer service is just amazing. If I have to do another customer service job, it better be a doctor, pharmacist or shrink or even teaching little children. Grown-ups have NO EXCUSE for being needy dumb A$$es who do not tip. 😃

Trust me, it happens. I've worked in three restaurants and have seen it happen and actually have taken part in it myself.
Typcially, if you don't beep with the staff then the staff don't beep with you.
That being said, I should note that I have NEVER in four years of restaurant experience seen an employee "mess" with some one's food who didn't deserve it.
If some one has a legitimate complaint that they handle with maturity, I'm sure a resonable restaurant employee would have no problem fixing it with no problems.
But if you're talking down to an employee, acting like a smug beep your food will come with something extra 99% of the time.
OH! And don't rush into a restaurant five minutes before closing and plop into a talbe. You're dealing with servers and cooks who've worked long shifts, ready to go home and have already started cleaning for the night.
I've gone out with friends who tried to do this and I had to stop them. A disgruntled cook who only wants to finish his work and go home to rest will NOT be happy having to clean the kitchen twice since you decided to come in at the last minute.
I've seen some pretty gross stuffsnot, spit, boogers, pubes, old/dirty food, things from the floor, etc.
When you eat out, you're doing it at your own risk really. 😞

Yes. If you're a dick, you're good gets messed with. Send something back more than once, and you're food gets messed with. I used to be a cook, and I've done it. True story:
Lady comes in maybe 20 minutes before close. 20 minutes before close, cooks have everything clean and wrapped up and are just waiting to go home. Her order isn't anything too complicated, though, so I don't mind TOO much making it. Until it's served to herand she changes her mind and wants something else. Her new order consists of chunks of beef on skewers. Those skewers were spat on, stepped on, dragged through the bottom of a dirty, grimy rinse sink, placed deliacately on a bed of rice pilaf and served.
Moral of the story: If you're a pain, your food will be messed with. Count on it.

When I got to work, I don't get to just sit on my arse for the last 20 minutes I work until the end of my shift. Your shift ends when the restaurant closes. If your manager lets you pre-emtively clean up 20 minutes early, thats their choice I've worked in plenty of kitchens and whilst it can be frustrating I never was tempted to be a dick about it like some of you beep
I hope you get caught doing something like this, because if the customer wanted to they can do a lot more than just loosing you your job. beep with someones food is dangerous and could be considered damaging to their health. Then what would you cretins do for a job if you couldn't work with food?

I used to work at woodys bbq and did some crazy stuff. I would drop ribs on the floor and leave them there on the floor for 15 seconds, touch my balls and put my hand in cole slaw, pick my burgers and put it in the green beans. One day my friend jizzed in the peas. We people ordered out I always filled it to the max.
