I don't see why Dean thinks being a server is a dead end. You can work your way up to a very fancy restaurant(like this

) and pull $1000+ in tips in a shift. Taking the step up to a nicer steakhouse would have been a good choice.
He wants to be like Chet instead of Dan? They are both lame.
