Instead of Redford? I hadn't thought of that. Before I had just thought of them doing a movie together again. That's interesting I think it would have been about the same.
Arthur (1981)
Susan: Arthur, take my hand.
Arthur: But that would only leave you with one! -

"I thought Paul Newman would have been a great choice for Morgan Freeman's part. Not that Morgan Freeman wasn't good. He was fine- "
I'm glad I browsed through all the titles on this board before opening a similar one as so often happens here - I had the same thoughts. It was on one of the featerettes that one of them confirmed the general wish to see Paul Newman and Robert Redford teaming up again like they did in "The Sting" and "Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid". This movie "An Unfinished Life" would have been a perfect vehicle to do their grouchy and tired interactions that worked so well in those wo other movies.
It is just a pity we'll never see the two again ever on screen. -

"Not that Morgan Freeman wasn't good. He was fine- he's Morgan Freeman and I think he's a terrific actor."
Someone else here Fisant911 quoted Roger Ebert here:
"() It will say that Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman are trying to be Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman. ()" I hadn't thought of that (Unforgiven, Milion Dollar Baby).
