I’ve met too many unhinged wingnuts that believe in UFOs, that’s its nothing but evidence they’re either incredibly stupid or just plain crazy.

Bill Maher makes that same mistake. First, it's not just crazies or hillbillies who see UFOs, it's people from every walk of life and always has been. Second, you might hear more from the crazies and hillbillies because maybe they are less worried about their reputations.

it's extraterrestrial ai. they aren't here because of scientific curiosity. it's for their own self preservation. they travel the cosmos looking for threats to their survival and the survival of the universe at large, and the biggest threat is other ai. they know we have the potential to develop a dangerous ai that could run wild and turn the entire universe into gray goo and they are here to stop it before we do. we should be thankful. the safest option would be to kill us outright, but they must have some moral code that prevents that. they are the protectors of the universe.
