    Here is how I think it should've ended- The old man should have been the killer. His motive would be that once he left hollywood he was dejected. Then he started killing stars due to jealousy, and he was using the symbols to regain his fame. I think that would be a good ending. The real one was too corny.

      yeah ok, but, too me, it's always more fun for the killer not to have to much background (or even none). like with leatherface in the origional Taxas chainsaw (apparently they gave him a stuppid reason to kill in the re-make, He doesn't have a nose ore something). No motive makes him more morbid, I think.

          Leatherface had sort of a motive. When the slaughterhouse closed down, his family lost their jobs and started slaughtering people (just a bit crazy in that family). He was raised to be the killer he is by his family.
          Are we there yet?

              at least they came up with a reason at all, i dont think they needed too i mean it was a crazy rat-hole of an apartment anyway

                i totally had to leave to go out somewhere when i was about to see the end of the movie im left in complete suspense! someone please tell me what happens after the killer puts nell on the tabe with that turning saw! PLEASE!

                  I thought there were hints, that he already was dead, and that he was talking about himself, not being able to leave. And then that he was the Black Dahlia killer, so he was cursed to stay there forever, but he had found a way to continue killing.
