having seen a few of the new "supernatural" thrillers and horrors that have come out in the cinema and DVD recently amityville horror, godsend, hide and seek, boogeyman etc.
this has to be one of the best and least publised of em, it didnt even get a cinema release over here in britain and i only got it cus im a fan of horror and tobe hoopers original TCM. this is a suprisingly good film, i expected some yarn, but is actually quite shocking cus ur constanly tryin to work out where the killer is, u know hes there, u just dont know where. i thought it was quite clever, and in some places misdirectin makin, leavin u a red herrin as to who the killer is till the end.
i would reccomend this film to any horror fan, or to anyone who is gettin sick of the horror that hollywood seems to be churnin out lately. -

Dear Film Fan86,
I think Tobe Hooper's Toolbox Murders is a GREAT FILM!!
I found this film to have an Excellent Plot,Good Acting,Very Atmospheric
throughout and a Mystery with true Chills that one is just not getting from the films coming out of Hollywood nowadays.
Special Applause must be given to Angela Bettis's performance as the female lead(YOU CAN REALLY CHEER FOR HER CHARACTER) who looks into the apartment building's background because she is living there. She draws us in as she begins looking into the Mysteries of this old building and tenants(be they missing, murdered, weird or all of the above).
The killer in this film is a Tobe Hooper villian at it's best.
If Mr.Hooper continues making films of this quality then he will have restored
his reputation.
I agree with Film Fan86IT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN
TOBE HOOPER'S TOOLBOX MURDERS(2003).
To Better Days,
BRAD
