Exactly. And really, that's how the Illuminati operates. It's difficult for me to imagine that this movie was ever re-made. I guess "they" count on the American sheeple to not critically think.

That scene was intensely awkward and creepy.
She was about to kiss him on his lips, looking at him with intense lusty eyes.

I think that scene, creepy as it is, reveals how much in love with herself the mother is. Her son is an extension of her ambition. It seems her lust for power is satisfied in deviant way through that incestuous relationship.
