Sorry Jodi but you are the dumbo here for reading reviews BEFORE watching the movie or even reading the book. I NEVER even read the book flaps until AFTER reading the book. Get over yourself and your own decisions. We are not responsible for where you click your mouse. Or did you vote for Obama to take care of you too? Puleeze, to quote departed Joan Rivers. Maybe you have more affinity with the OP than you would like. Your type of people just irritate me. Just look at yourselves and get in touch with reality, both of you.

Meryl's a decent actress. But the character she played in this film was so utterly loathsome (props to Meryl for making Ms. Shaw SUCH a hateable biitch) I was EXTREMELY pleased when she was shot. EXTREMELY pleased.
To be honest I can't see why you WOULDN'T be pleased. Look at what she did to her son. Not only the mind control, but forcing him to murder the only girl he ever loved.
Why the hell were you sad to see her shot???

i saw this on my ipod. i thought she was a supporting character of her senator husband. i didn't realize she was malicious. in fact, i didn't see any bad people in this movie although i only saw the first half before being unbearable to watch any further.

No, I didn't grieve at all when 'Merly Streep' was killed. I grieved for Raymond Shaw.
Do we even know if they died? A shot to the torso isn't a guaranteed kill. But, maybe I missed something at the end of the film revealing their fate
P.S: you really should edit your original post
My God! Its full of stars!
