It's most likely a different show (SVU maybe?). There is a CC episode with a transgender character but never meets the detectives.

It's probably another show because characters on Cold Case die in the beginning of the show, not at the end.

It's definitely "Daniella." That was a really good episode. Very thought provoking. Loved the 70s music, esp. KC & the Sunshine Band's "Please Don't Go." The ending was so sad. One of my favorite episodes of the entire series.

Aw this was such a sad episode. I kept thinking that if Chris would have gotten there 2 seconds earlier it would have been okay. I liked that episode.

You are thinking of the Ally McBeal episode from season 1. Don't remember episode number or title but it was definitely first season- I remember in the finale, there was a montage that included the transgender girl.
