Finally i got to see this episode in french ( when i see an episode in english there's always something i don't understand)
and I can say that it"s such a "strange" episode.
There isn't a real plot; seems more like a series of scenes stuck together without a real logic- The husband is sued by his friend's wife, but in the same time they have an affair with no apparent reason;
- lindsay refuses to sell met amphetamine to Mike, bit then is willing to let him stage a burglary for money;
- she doesn't want to sleep with him, but then tries to seduce Timmy;
- Kitty says lindsay they don't have to do such things, but then she does herself..
An other thing: in many forums they say kitty's behavior was self interested ( she wanted lindsay to get restored to her wealth to take advantage of it) but the episode doesn't show that, she acts like a true friend in my opinion..

I actually like this episode, but I agree it wasn't one of their best–I'm not sure why I like it so much, honestly, but I think it's partly sentimental because it was one of the first episodes I ever saw. It's also one of the few where the victim annoyed me so much that I almost felt sorrier for the doer than the victim.
I mean, c'mon, Lindsay. This girl, whose friendship you were happy to have when you needed it, is crying, holding a gun, and begging you to say you're really her friend…and your response is, "Yes, whatever, just go!" I don't understand people who say Kitty was just using Lindsay, hoping to take advantage of Lindsay's "return to the top," when Lindsay was the biggest user in the episode: she used Kitty, and she manipulated that poor young man with a crush on her, and all Kitty did was be helpful and obviously admire her.
Lindsay was desperate for their help when she was down, but the minute she thinks she's "back on top," she treats Kitty like dirt. If my friend had done that for me? I'd be shocked, too, but not at how gross they were; I'd be shocked that they had done that for me, and very sad that they felt the need to do it. I wouldn't start treating that person like dirt, and then, as she cried and begged me to tell her that we were really friends and I hadn't just been using her, sigh and roll my eye and demand they get out of my house. Honestly, even if I felt that way, why in the world are you being mean and dismissive to someone holding a gun on you? When all you need to do is say yes, give her a hug, and then skip town?
I don't think Lindsay deserved to die, of course. I just thought she was being really mean at the end there, and pretty stupid.
(Also, psst, Lindsay, you're still gonna need money, girl.)
