So many here I agree with But a lot of them I can't recognise by the title alone
      My favorites:
Committed.. The bi-polar mother who was in a mental institution.. Surrounded by other girls at the time that didn't deserve to be there And in the end the mother and 1 girl swapped identities The final scene's of the artwork brought me to tears This episode reminded me of the movie "Girl Interrupted"
Forever Blue.. The story of a budding secret gay "love" affair in the 60's The episode reminded me highly of Brokeback Mountain Very sad
Boy Crazy A gender confused teenager had a hard enough life dealing with themselves. Reminded me of the movie "Boys Don't Cry"
Daniella Another sad and shocking story.. Taken from "The Crying Game"
Another favorite of my The Key It was just a sad situation of events.. And the music of the episode and that era and style really really appeals to me It actually reminded me of "Boogie Nights".

My favourite one is "Boy Crazy" from Season 5.
"The Promise" S2, "The Runner" S1, "Knuckle Up" S4 are also favorites as well.

This was an easy question for me. I didn't start watching until Cold Case was in syndicated reruns on TNT. I was looking at shows on my guide, and saw the description for "Ghost of My Child," and decided to DVR it and watch it later. The closing scenes with Nickleback's "Far Away" playing as Priscilla and Max were reunited brought tears to my eyes, and my daughter's who had never seen an episode.
If you're a fan of the music from Cold Case, you should all check out this sight, which was created by a now friend of mine from Alberta.

My favorite was the episode where they thought the little girl was dead. But she ended up in a different a town. I think it was called Fireflies. I wasn't expecting that ending.

I just watched my first episode a couple of days ago and while I can't say this is my favorite but I was moved and shocked and appalled at the same time. The storyline in 1939 where that beautiful black woman named Sadie was raped by the 5th Day group of men. I almost could not watch all of that as it was so horrifying. I cried at the injustice of it all but was shocked at finding out who was the actual killer. I'll be watching this show from now on.

                    Communionsong,
I just saw that one too. I missed the first half but I could tell it was good.

That would have been "The Letter", episode 13 from season 1.
