    I see…
I wasn't all that crazy about Nicholson at the time, and having read the book, I was confused by Kubrick's interpretation, like many others… and as you say, that included King.
I have gotten over that. It's a good horror movie on it's own, and that's what Kubrick wanted to make.
As for King's TV mini series, I liked it. I liked Steven Webber as Jack. That's the Jack I remember from the book… Wendy too.
My only problem biggest problem with both adaptations was the casting of both boys. One seemed drugged. The other overacted IMO.
I wasn't wild about the cook, Halloran, in the mini series either. Too bad they didn't have Ozzie Davis.
Just my thoughts, and if you have come this far, I salute you!

That episode with Evelyn ending up frightening Charlie's new girl was priceless! It was so unexpected! I loved it!
Both Evelyn and Berta were beloved characters. I always enjoyed them.
As for Rose? She always cracks me up.
      Side note…
I had no idea that the actress who played her had her first acting gig in one of my favorite movies!
Have you ever seen Peter Jackson's Heavenly Creatures?
It's based on a true story.
I only knew this a couple of years ago

It was shocking to find out that mystery author Anne Perry was one of the klllers.

          Anne Perry…
Tell me more about her involvement in the murder.

In 1994, it became public knowledge that Perry had been convicted for murder as a teenager while living in Christchurch, New Zealand. In 1954, at the age of fifteen, she and her 16-year-old friend Pauline Parker murdered Parker's mother, Honorah Rieper. After serving a five-year sentence for the murder, she changed her name and returned to the United Kingdom. She was identified by journalists following the release of the movie Heavenly Creatures, directed by Peter Jackson, in which Kate Winslet portrays Hulme (Perry).

That's too bad. I thought it was a really good show with funny characters. It wasn't the same dynamic after Charlie Sheen was fired and they wrote in that other guy. It went from A+ to a C.

The only good thing Charlie sheen has ever done in his life is his work on this show 😭

I loved him in Ferris Bueller's Day Off!! I'm not sure if he coked out as well, but I think I remember him saying he stayed awake for a few days/nights straight to get the look down right. It totally worked.
