Honestly, I really don't know if he was. Clearly, he had something for Avalyn. Which it might seems like he had something for Eric. I didn't read the book. so i just wondering if he was closed- homosexual or straight asexual?

I believe his relationships with both Avalyn and Eric were strictly platonic.

This. I think he and Neil went two different ways after the abuse: Brian became terrified of sex, Neil became hypersexual.

It's a tough question to answer. I just finished the book and in it you can tell Brian really was attracted to Avalyn he just wasn't sure how to adequately express those feelings due to his repressed memories. The book made it clear Brian and Eric were just friends too. However, when people would call him and Eric beep Brian never seemed phased by it.
So, my personal opinion is that Brian is straight, but due to the events that happened in the past is severely emotionally stunted in a child-like innocence.
I would like to imagine Brian eventually coming to grips with the past and putting it behind him and finally coming into his own skin.

He was straight but had issues from the trauma of being raped. Its something you can see in a lot of rape victims. Its takes a long time to have sex with someone after dealing with such things. He needed therapy.

He wasn't gay. He liked women. The book goes further into detail about how he's very much attracted to Avalyn, but as AtheistRevolution states, he is much too beep up about everything to be able to normally handle a relationship at that point in his life.
Eric also makes the comment that he sees Brian as basically asexual, which is pretty true. In terms of attraction, he likes women, and there is no proof in the film or the novel that he likes men, but he's basically an innocent child. Sex isn't something on his mind. Sure, in the novel, when he makes out with Avalyn, it describes him getting hard, but he is incapable of going through with anything, including the kiss.

From what we see in the film, I don't think you can infer his sexuality one way or the other. I believe at one point in the film someone refers to Brian as "asexual", and that seems about right. The semi-repressed molestation experiences seem to have put him off of sex of any kind, really.
