    Did they ever explain what the relevance of why Brian's nose would randomly start bleeding? I guess it was explained that he was never really abducted by aliens and that he used that as a coping method to block out the memories of being molested, but didn't his nose start bleeding
    before
    he was even molested? Greg Araki's films are known for tons of pointless beep that is supposed to be "artsy" but really make no sense, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was no explanation, BUT I know this is based off a book so I figured I'd ask.

      It explains why it first bled. He fell and hit it after the molestation.
      And due to the trauma of the situation, nosebleeds became commonplace.
