Any reason for the nudity?

I know, wtf? We're debating female nudity in a film, and then this dude starts naming names (John Barry and alcohol? Where the beep did THAT come from?) and bragging about the beaches he's been naked on and what the hell does any of this have to do with seeing Blanchard Ryan's tits?
I'm ROFLMAO, yet at the same time I feel so
sad
.
And a little bit dirty.
Sigs suck, and so do people who use them. -

Hey hereminton- My God man- do you like to talk about yourself or what???? Jesus- give us a break. This discussion was about a movie with a harmless scene of a naked girl in it. We really -REALLY- do not care about or have any desire whatsoever to hear about nudist thoughts, fantasies, etc,.

Actually, a lot of couples (married or otherwise)sleep together, and lie in bed together, just prior to sleeping, sans clothing. And not necessarily for the purpose of sex. Many people (my wife of 15 years and I included), simply find it more comfortable than wearing pajamas, which can tend to bunch up if you move around in your sleep. And since it would be rather pointless to put pajamas on, only to remove them before going to sleep, this means any time spent reading, watching TV or just talking in bed before going to sleep, is also done clothing-free.
Also, and most seem to have missed this point, earlier in the scene they established that it's "fking hot in here", because the A/C was broken. I think that this is a very realistic aspect.
That said, I also agree that in the context of the movie, it was a rather gratuitous (if enjoyable) display. Even as I was watching it, I was getting the impression that it was just put in for a quick thrill for the young males in the audience.
Realistic, yes. At all integral to the plot, not really. -

Exactly. This part of what bugged me about it. The other thing that bugged me is that we saw her lounging nude and not so much as his bare bottom. He slipped into bed without showing any of his private bitsnot even a side-butt (to borrow from Family Guy) shot, as if he always has a camera in the bedroom. What's up with that?
Gratuitous and unfair nudity, I say. If you're gonna do it, make both of 'em show significant skin. -

I agree that it made no sense to the plot of the movie, and in the movies, they all know that apparently sex sells, and if anything, got teen boys attention.
And I think it was sexist of them not to show any of the guy. Not that I was wanting to see either of them, but if that was the reason, the A/C not working, why isn't he showing us something? Especially since he obviously put on shorts for the next scene of them swat mosquitoes or whatever. If that was the real reason, he'd still be naked!

It's bloody warm, that's why. Ever been in the tropics? It can be a real drag, those hot nights. You undress so that you cool of as much as possible.
Also, they've been together for a long time, so they won't be shy and not show their bodies.
It's a touch of realism that gives this film a more credible feel to it than Hollywood flicks with screaming hotties running around in far too tight shirts. -

Thank you they were actually in a hostel. (in reality) there was a fan, no ac probably and yeah. its more comfortable. (i can't recall but didn't she take a shower at sometime?)
also, it wasn't done in a demeaning manner, and not in your face tna.. it wasn't vulgar. -

Well for one thing they mentioned that the AC was broken and they are in the Caribbean. I'd want to be naked too. And if you can't lay down with your significant other and be nude without the intention of sex.I'm sorry that you're you.
