It wasn't very good. It is the sequel series to Band of Brothers, the highest rated TV series on IMDB, but The Pacific nowhere near as good. Basically everyone agrees it was disappointing. There is a third in the series that came out last year called "Masters of the Air" which was decent.

Well the americans were their enemy.
It would have been more interesting to watch if they had put some effort into developing the japanese characters too.
