        Capote.
I think the best way to answer which film is better is to ask yourself whose Capote you wouldve confided in had you been the killers: Hoffmans or Joness. Hoffman's comes across as more trustworthy.

When the two movies are based on the same story, the first one (1st release) will have the full advantage. That is where the movie 'Capote' stands.
The filmmakers and cast as well very important. In that category 'Infamous' aheads. But performances were great from both the versions.
I saw 'Infamous' first and liked it more than 'Capote'. When I watched 'Capote' I knew how the movie's going to shape up and end, so I was totally lost interest.
Another reason is 'Capote' was too slow and realistic approach, but 'Infamous' kick offs with so fast and funny, same pace was maintained till the end.
          Definitely I go with INFAMOUS.
You better know what you want to do before somebody knows it for you

Infamous. Jones blew PSH out of the water.

Both films are very good.Capote being a very safe look into the persona of one of the most outrageous American Authors. PSH's performance was structured for a academy award. Infamous ,on the other hand captured the essence of the man and the pretentious upper class east side New Yorkers perfectly.

I just watched Capote, but lost interest half way into it. I had no idea the films were so much alike, but up until the hanging scene at the end of Capote it's clear that Infamous was a much more well rounded film- especially consider considering Toby's authentic performance.
