Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — The Black Dahlia

Seriously, how stupid can the LAPD be?? The Dahlia was not this killer's only victim, not even his first, that is a fact. Just look for similar murders around the area!!! There's got to be something.

Pretty sure it's George Hodel. He was the prime suspect at the time, but just not enough technology to prove it. But he is still is believed to be the one.

I didn't read the book but the suppossed evidence like a picture of Elizabeth Short in his possessions and the Man Ray photograph are laughable.

Yeah, those photos are mainly on what his son (author of book) built his whole theory and they are sooo obviously not Elizabeth.

They haven't figured out who Jack the Ripper was either and that was in the eighteen eighties.
The Elizabeth Short Murder has been linked to everyone from the trunk murderer to a doctor who's son, a retired police officer, insists he did it A century from now they will still be coming up with more theories about the case and of course writing books and making movies about them.

Don't know precisely what, but there's apparently some new (2012) evidence making Dr. Hodel a 99% surety.

Here is a video explaining Hodel's connection OUTSIDE of the photo. Looks like his own son (retired police officer) might have solved the case.

Her death seems tied to the Cleveland torso murders. A ton of similarities. Also Suzanne degnan

I heard about that on UNSOLVED MYSTERIES. Supposedly Elliot Ness found out who the killer was, but didn't have enough evidence, and to accuse him of it would lead to a lot of legal retribution. He was apparently part of a rich, powerful family.
