I could have sworn when I saw this in 2006 the Japanese businessmen wanted to go to the greatest American institute, Hooters. But I'm watching now & they say TGI's. When Sandler says "TGI Friday's" you can't see his face & it sounds like a voice-over. Did Hooters get upset about their name being used without their permission? I Googled it and found nothing about a change. Am I just such a pervert that I changed TGI Friday's to Hooters in my mind over the course of 5 years?!??!?!????

Nope, it has always been TGI Fridays. Saw the film in theatres, and I do remember that.
The night is a very dark time for me.

I can't speak for the film release. But as I just watched the DVD, it did sound like a bad audio insert.
Where they looped in TGIF in place of another restaurant.

Interesting because in Big Daddy they make fun of Hooters through the entire movie.

I just watched it for the first time since years ago, and I could have sworn it was Hooters as well.
