Does anyone know why they replaced her with Brenda Strong?
Also, are her deleted scenes available to watch anywhere? As a huge fan of Twin Peaks, I would love to see her twist on the Mary Alice Young character.

I watched the original pilot when it first leaked and it might be floating around out there on sites. Sheryl's take on Mary Alice's narration was far more somber - or as is popular to put it - "ethereal". That's not the direction they wanted to take the show in, so they replaced her with sing-songy Brenda Strong.
I remember when I watched the actual premiere I was disappointed that they replaced her and preferred Sheryl Lee's narration. I do think they made the right choice though in the end with the direction the show took to be honest.
