No, it doesn't. Especially when the price of peace is greater than the price of war. The king was a coward that deserved to die. - No. Nuada was sentenced to execution. Not his sister. But his sister would die anyway. It makes more sense to just kill her as she's easier to get to.

Sadly, the king had realized his people's time had come. A war would mean an immediate genocide. They'd have no chance against the human's new weapons. Even with the golden army. It takes a strong king not to engage in a pointless, futile war. Besides, as we saw with the troll market, his people seemed to be doing ok.
And again, the sentence wasn't on the sister. It was on the Prince. Plus, she'd run away. How do people miss that? It's not easier to kill someone who isn't there.
