Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Svengoolie

I love the old Svengoolie program, but must admit it no longer has the edge. It's corporate-controlled mediocricy now, very scripted. But Rich is still a cool guy and I'm glad he still does the show, nevertheless.

      The show has
      ALWAYS
been scripted. Even during the "Son" days. However, in the "Son" days, he didn't do too many reruns. He also didn't have too much merchandise in the old days neither.

Hmm, I seem to recall his letter reading was very unscripted and hella funny. Now it's like he is well rehearsed and yes, kind of boring. Nevertheless, Kozz is still worth watching.
