Well that man who remembers meeting him must have remembered the occasion fondly.
He should have done like I did and get a job as a waiter in a fancy café when he was in his prime. I've met all sorts of folk and had a proper laugh with them too
I met a bar manager in a pub I've started to frequent and he's done private do's for all the Doctor Who team and met and chatted with loads of them. Even got a couple of their numbers for when they come into town and need stuff sorted for them
Whereas that poor bloke probably didn't have much going on when he was younger. And that ay, when he met Fred outside that pub, was one that stayed with him for all these years
He'll be an old man one day who'll nudge up next to someone at a bar near a bus station where people alight for a transfer and tell strangers who are travelling long distances "Here, d'remember that guy who used to hop across a floating map of the UK and talk about the weather? I met him I did, twice!". Bless that poor soul

He met Jimmy Corkhill too who he seems to think is a real person and not an actor named Dean Sullivan (RIP).
I bet it was double the joy for him that day, two people off ‘the telly’.
So by stuff sorted out do you mean drugs? OH and did I ever tell you about when I saw Michael French at the multiplex right here in Bobbytown?

I always thought Jimmy Corkhill was Sinbad. I still did until you just told me otherwise and I had to look him up
I didn't get into the specifics about 'sorted out' but it could mean drugs or it could mean booking a place and making sure there was food and drinks and people to serve them.

No DAVID wicks. Well this is going back quite some years now but myself and some friends were inside the multiplex (the old one not the new one) and a friend of mine said to me ‘you watch EastEnders don’t you Bobby? Is that who is it over there? David is it?’ and I looked over and there was a tall gentleman buying popcorn and drinks. Anyway after paying he started to walk away towards the screens. He looked in my direction, noticed me staring and then quickly looked away and rushed on towards the screens as he had noticed that I had clocked him.

I don’t know what he was seeing and I can’t remember now what we saw, but I do know that he was in the area at the time filming a program called Born n Bred, so it wasn’t as random as it sounds.

Born and Bred was 2002 to 2005 Bobby so that's everything from the first Spider-Man all the way to Batman Begins.
Maybe it was Revenge of the Sith or Shaun of the Dead?

It definitely wasn’t a superhero film, I know that! Also I watched Revenge of the Sith with some other friends. I didn’t watch Shaun of the Dead at the cinema. I really can’t recall what it was…probably some forgettable rubbish that they wanted to see and I was just along for the ride.

It was so bad you don't even remember what you were seeing, and so that period in cinema speaks for itself and seems to be repeating (Mostly!).

At first I thought it might have been ‘The Others’ that we went to see. Do you remember that? Nicole Kidman and her children live in a house and think that they are haunted but NO it is THEM who are the ghosts as there’s always a twist at the end.Christopher Eccleston is in it as the Father but he is dead too, further strengthening the Who connection.
That was out in 2001 though.

I think that I worked out there and then what he was doing there though you see, which I wouldn’t have been able to do were I not aware of Born and Bred. I know that my DenMother came across them filming an episode during the first series but she never said what it was or who was in it because she didn’t know so we only found that out later.
Oh and guess what…one of the creators of Born and Bred was none other than our very own Chris Chibnall!! This definitely is NOT coincidence!

I liked Broadchurch (The first season anyone), so he's not all bad

What a very kind thing to say Anna. I think both Bobby and I just try and show people that friendly conversation is a much more fruitful endeavour than repeatedly bashing people and getting the same outcome.
But, it's a free world and people can do as they like as long as they don't harm anyone who doesn't want to be
