    York's good
It's not as good as Blackpool but it's still very good
Hopefully the weather will be great regardless!

York would be somewhere we could just book last minute and is very easy to get to by train. 🙂
We would prefer Blackpool though. There is nothing that Ricky and I love more than the Fylde coast. Bringing a book along each, breakfast in a morning. catching a tram to Cleveleys and reading on the coast. Breaking for an ice cream and a wander. Fish and chips for tea. 😊

Ricky said that the last time you two were in Cleveleys that a situation occurred at the arcade games place. What was it Bobby?

Do you mean the Arcade Club? That isn’t in Cleveleys.
Cleveleys is a quiet little place where they filmed some of Andor (which I saw someone on YouTube doing a video on Cleveleys call ‘the Star Wars TV show
          )
Cleveleys just has a nice sea front/promenade, a quaint little seaside town centre and a nice ice cream parlour. Last time I got a pistachio and macadamia nut ice cream and dropped it.
There’s also a back alley between two B&B’s where if you go down it you sometimes time slip into 1988!
Cleveleys is also home to the world’s first B&M!! You know B&M Bargains? That is where it started…right there in Cleveleys!!! 😊

I heard that the town called Nelson in Yorkshire could do with a BM Bobby
That back alley with the way into 1988 might be worth checking out
Can you take stuff through with you? Like Gameboy Advanceds and VHS copies of the prequel trilogy from Star Wars?

              Nelson isn’t in Yorkshire.
And I’m not sure how it works to be honest, but people have sworn that they have walked through it and emerged at the other end to see older style trams rattling past and the branch of a NatWest bank which is no longer there. Then there’s the cars too. 🙂

Well Beamish (The town that makes the beer) has trams and stuff. It might very well have an old Natwest bank there too

Were you referring to the open air museum? No it’s not that…the Beamish museum takes you back all the way to the early 20th century. The one in Cleveleys only takes you back as far as 1988…so people recognise it as that very road in Cleveleys. 🙂 Car registration plates and tram experts have been used to place an approximate date. They’ve also used advertising on the trams to make a guess. 🙂

It might have been the open air museum at Beamish Bobby
I'd had a few Beamishes by then and so it all gets a bit hazy
Well then, let's see. 1988 you say? I remember then
E or F reggie plates if I'm not mistaken. Electric aerials and windows on cars starting to become a less uncommon thing. Garfield plushies with sucker cups were on their way out. S'Express, The Only Way is Up, Beat Dis and Bros made their debut!
That was when Yaz was still with the Plastic Population
I don't know if trams were still a thing though. They might have been in Cleveleys I suppose
Well if you could take a couple of Beanos or something back then from 1989 or onwards Bobby you could make a pretty penny

Trams are and have always been in use from Starr Gate in Blackpool through to Fleetwood, passing through Cleveleys. Look it is easier if I just show you….
When the video starts, that is what people are seeing when they come through the time tunnel. Later in the video we see that same scene in 2013 but it’s pretty much like that now with the more modern trams.

Also old Beano issues are barely worth any money, I’ve checked.

Yes I think that they do. 🙂 Don’t ask me why, it seems like time travel is such an emotional phenomenon which is so chock full of all different sorts of emotions that maybe that music just naturally forms to create a sort of protection for the brain so that you feel relaxed and it prevents you from going mad. 🙂
Time slips fascinate me. Have you ever been through one yourself? 🙂

I have Bobby but it was when I was still Juan
Used to happen pretty frequently too
Nothing particularly dangerous or fascinating about any of them though as they were just usually going either so far back or forward that humanity wasn't around. not on every occasion but on most
It's pretty sweet just chilling out with nobody else around. Much better in the far future though as there are machines to talk to and lots of food and drink around. The far past is sort of weird with animals scurrying away and mostly eating raw fruit and veg and fresh river water.
They are both nice but the present is a little of both and so that makes it feel like a nice balance
                                There wasn't any music though
Have you met many people who have experienced time slips?

Used to happen pretty frequently too
Nothing particularly dangerous or fascinating about any of them though as they were just usually going either so far back or forward that humanity wasn't around. not on every occasion but on most
It's pretty sweet just chilling out with nobody else around. Much better in the far future though as there are machines to talk to and lots of food and drink around. The far past is sort of weird with animals scurrying away and mostly eating raw fruit and veg and fresh river water.
They are both nice but the present is a little of both and so that makes it feel like a nice balance
                                  There wasn't any music though
Have you met many people who have experienced time slips?
                                  expand
That all sounds pretty amazing, Siggy! Was there specific time tunnels that Juan would walk through or was it just something which would happen at random? 🙂 It’s a shame that the magic of time travel didn’t soothe Juan’s brain with calming music of some sort, but it would seem that he was able to take it in his stride, so that is good. 🙂
Well I have of course spoken to many Clevites who tell me that they have been through the time tunnel to 1988 and all of their stories seem to match so I know they aren’t lying. Also there is this road in Liverpool called Bold Street which is the site of many a reported time slip and to all manner of time periods. I visited there in the hopes that I would travel in time, but to no avail. I told a work colleague of mine about it and he visited one day and he told me that he went back to the 1960s, but I think that he was lying. 🙂

No, when Juan travelled in time it was just one minute he was somewhere and then the next he was elsewhere. At first he put it down to being in some sort of dream or fugue state but eventually he started taking things with him and seeing that it was a real phenomena.
They didn't happen too often and there was no way of guessing when they would occur but they seemed harmless and without incident for the best part

Yes have a read up on Bold Street before you visit. People have travelled to all sorts of places in time there. 🙂
So when Juan travelled through time, how long was it usually for? Also did he return back to his own time by retracing his steps or did the return journey occur in a different location? 🙂

I've not yet slipped in time myself and so am looking forward to my first solo experience of it
Yeah, Juan would just one moment be drinking a coffee at a table while reading the news paper in the morning and then kerpow! he's on his bum with coffee all over him and the newspaper while falling down a steep hill towards an ocean with waves crashing in on beach front rocks in the middle of the night. He'd stumble about for a day or two trying to get his bearings and figure out when and where he was and then, before you know it, he'd be stepping into his work looking all dishevelled and unkempt and people would always presume that he'd been out on the lash the night before
He was always crazy hungry when he got back to his own time (Especially when he was returning from the past!) and his thoughts weren't quite together enough for him to explain what had happened to him with his colleagues
He'd be scoffing as much cheese strings, bread and tinned spiced sardines as he could while talking about the terrible weather and conditions he'd just returned from. He'd also spend an unreasonable amount of time in the bathroom before eventually going home to sleep and shower. But people just went "You know Juan!" and it would all be forgotten about within a day or two.
Well, that's just how it started. Eventually he'd return but be in another country or slightly out of sync from when he left (Usually a day or two in the future) and he'd try to explain to groundkeepers in parks or security guards in fancy hotels how he got there and why we doesn't speak their language.
He always felt safe though, and didn't feel worried about how unusual experiences

Maybe that’s part of why he’s missing now. Would it not be possible that he’s slipped through time again, but this time hasn’t returned?! Yes yes I know what that Slash Dot said, but Slash Dots are by their very nature troublesome liars.
Here is one of these numerous young girls who like to talk about mysteries/murder etc on YouTube (and get loads of subscribers) talking about Bold Street.
