Well Siggy we all loved it, all three of us. I don’t want to go into too much detail yet because it needs time to digest, plus you might not have seen it yet. I’m sure that Ricky will be posting his Ricky Reviews tomorrow too for you to read.

I will say that we all loved Morris. He’s a fantastic new character played by a cracking little actor!

I'm still waiting for my food to finish cooking and then cool to eat Bobby but I'm very much looking forward to it after Scotland's brilliant goal against Germany this evening.
Best thing Scotland has done in over 26 years of playing football
But that's not saying much
We'll talk about it at length once it's all sorted and we're not spoiling it for the kiddos still sleeping

Well I don’t think that Ricky is going to sleep tonight, he’s all wound up and excited over it.
I am quite tired now and will be off to bed soon.
Bobbinia is already fast asleep curled up in his basket.
So there you have it, the three degrees.

Well as long as it all settles out for tomorrow I'm sure you'll have a splendid day of it all and make the best of the Saturday that goodness can send Bobby
I'm glad that Ricky liked it, there's nothing wrong with enjoying the first part of an RTD finale

Was that on the betamax video cassette Bobby?
You know the one Rubi watched every year with her mum on that special DVD-video machine hybrid they brought out at some point after 2004
Anyway, I liked it. It was a big naff but proper Doctor Who RTD naff but I think they've burned all their bridges audience-wise.
But it's right up our street for speculation and stuff

Have they burned their bridges? Or is that just internet/youtube naysayer talk? It is hard to tell these days. I mean Doctor Who is getting cancelled every year according to them. Plus it is the end of Star Wars all of the time for years on end!

I think for those who could slog through it Bobby (And goodness knows I couldn't during Jodie's time as The Doctor) there's enough there to make it a really cool story. But the whole fresh start thing clearly isn't true because they've brought back old stuff and much of the old guard have bunked off because after Jodie there needed things to be better and, while they are better, they've kept going down the DEI route and marketed the whole thing as a black gay romp rather than a science fiction show.
Big red button next week and then nothing till Christmas.
That all said, I enjoyed it. The story was a Doctor Who story, the acting was better than the story, set design and CGI were all good. Camera work and soundtrack were passable.
Had it been a regular episode I'd even say it was good. But this is pretty much the first Doctor story since Christmas and so there's not enough of it all for me to call it good.
I liked the Christmas episode and I liked this one. The stuff in between the two lots of fun but not required.
What do you think?

I think that I am a similar camp to you. I will stick with the show because I like Doctor Who, but not sure that I would…were I a new viewer. I never thought that I would say this but I do think that it needs more episodes per season/series like Council of Geeks says. It needed the ‘filler’ episodes as these do serve a purpose. It helps the season breathe and shows us what makes this particular Doctor tick, builds up Ruby Road as a character and just helps to give us that overall feel of the two, their personalities and their relationship.
What did you think of the character of Morris? I groaned when I saw him but he turned out to be my favourite character and I hope we see more of him.
I notice that wheelchair woman whose name I forget wasn’t there, but I hope that’s not the last we see of her. Perhaps she’s busy filming that spin off with Tharries.

I heard somewhere that wheelchair lady is off in Geneva during this story. Apparently a gimmick used to say she had other commitments during filming but who knows, maybe she just walked off set?
I liked Morris. I thought the actor was believable in the role and I'd like to see more of him in the show if possible. His lines though, man, they ate through the Akira manual for quirky scientist plants suggestion foreshadowing inevitable outcome and then repeating it over and over as we get closer to that event. Brilliant if done as parody, even more brilliant if us asking that is part of that catch but with the writing being so clunky across the season, maybe just bad writing.
The viewscreen with the other Susan Twists hinted at there being more filler stuff along the way (I guess that went with Rubi's missing 6 months between Christmas and The Devil's Chord) and so perhaps this Doctor's story is meant to be filled with other merchandise like comics and books to fully flesh him out, I don't know but it's asking a slog of potential customers who have been told that this show isn't for them repeatedly.
With the exception of Space Babies I've enjoyed watching
something
at stupid o'clock on a weekend evening but I'm not sure what that is
I say Church on Rubi Road with The Legend of Rubi Sunday and that's your 15th Doctor so far with comics, and the rest, to fill in if needed.
If next week is any good then we'll have 3 stories out of 9 which make for this Doctor's first series

So she’s in Geneva with Tharries and the rest doing Wheelchair Warriors? Well that’s ok then.
Yes I’m the same…I know that I watched
something
…oh it needs more episodes. 12 or 13 like the old days. It felt like a chunk of it was missing and it is forever even advertising that in the show itself. I don’t want to spend my time reading Doctor Who comics or books as the show itself should be a satisfying enough meal.
Anyway Ricky loved it and didn’t sleep last night as he was so excited. He’s having a little snooze now in Bobbinia’s basket.

Tharries seems to have liked it. I'm in the middle of his retelling of it just now
Wheelchair Warriors might make up for it. Maybe if we watch all the RTD spin-offs there might be some semblance of a wider story but I'm not sure Disney will be happy with Owen being a rapist in Torchwood and going unpunished for it
