Lots of planets have a down under?
An Aussie played James Bond so I guess everything's possible haha. I doubt it'll happen though, to be honest. In my opinion they should rather cast a non-British companion since they seem to be limited to 21st century young females even though the whole of time and space is right there. At least the Doctor could deviate a few thousand kilometers to some direction to change it up the tiniest little bit.

Assuming he or she could do a good British accent and was willing to reside and work in the UK for several years then it's possible I supposebut as Who is partly directly funded by BBC Licence Fee contributors i.e members of the British Public, and heavily reliant on UK talent and culture, the UK public might abject to a non-British/Northern Irish actor playing the role.

Everyone knows THE British accent refers to the one definitive accent: The one used on American television. All other British accents are merely figments of your imagination.

Really what we need is an Aussie actor, but doing an exaggerated Boston accent.

the
British accent, regardless of it being Cockney, Glaswegian, Geordie or from the Welsh Valleys alot of non British actors struggle to master the accents
