Some points I noticed

So some things I noticed at the very beginning he said he was trying to fix some time distortortion in New York. I personally think that was a reference to angels take manhattan with him trying to fix the issue of not being able to land in New York and since he did later on I assumed he fixed it.
Also at the end when he was taking off he looked angry and unhinged unbuttoning his shirt and just looked very angry. So maybe that's a sign for what he's like next year. Also 12 crashing the space ship into New York seemed very risky so I think he's a bit messed up from losing river.
But have to say the last line was beautiful. Everything ends and It's sad but then it begins and It's happy be happy. That's a beautiful Christmas message -

The were some nice nods so the past and some nice nods to the superhero genre and it's creators.

Yeah it was everything it was sold as a fun superhero parody that worked well into doctor who. Basically it was super heroes aren't meant to be real but the doctor buggered things up and made one lol
I also feel like that was now truly the closing off of all past doctor who threads now and series 10 will be the next start Moffat was promising
