So I saw this idea somewhere and I actually like it. Like after capaldi leaves as the doctor the master comes back with capaldis face. Like the master regenerated into the same face. It would go with the masters current obsession with the doctor and it would screw with him hugely having to fight his former face.
Or another idea 1 episode where the master is dead and like a spirit and ends up possessing 12 and taking him over and his companion doesn't realise until the very end but we see him doing very un doctor stuff and then the big cliffhanger is that it's actually the master in 12s body. Then it could be a split battle between them something similiar to nightmare in silver.
I just think capaldi would be amazing as the master and well it's something unique with the character that we haven't seen before -

As much as I love the Twelfth Doctor, I'd rather not have that. I know Capaldi appeared in
The Fires of Pompeii
but he's always going to be the Doctor now. It'd be strange. Not saying it could definitely never, ever work but it'd be strange. Maybe as a one-off episode, I'd be interested to see how that would play out but Capaldi as the Master recurring throughout a series?

Actually, this came from Capaldi himself. I believe it was at this past NYCC and he was asked what Doctor Who character he would like to play other than The Doctor. He joked he would come back as the Master with the 12th Doctor's face. I believe this is the video
