I do think that Eddie Murphy did nearly all of his own singing in this movie. As people in previous replies have pointed out, we've known Murphy could sing for a while (since Rick James produced "Party All the Time" sung by Murphy - I think the video is on YouTube for those of you not alive in the 80s or who don't remember it). My question is on "Cadillac Car". It's definitely Murphy's voice throughout, until the end with the three "Oh yeahs". At point - the third "Oh yeah", which involves a bit more vocal acrobatics than the rest of the music - the voice sounds more like Jamie Foxx. Anyone know for sure?

^The part that you're talking about is definitely jamie. Eddie can sing, but I doubt he could hit a note like THAT.

                Heya,
It's possible that the quick bit was Eddie's brother, who recorded some backing vocals.

Those last three "Oh Yeahs" and a couple of other ad libs on the soundtrack are sung by Durrell Babbs, also known as the R&B singer, Tank. Tank also sings background for Jamie Foxx. Typically artists have bg singers who sound similar to them, which is probably why it sounds like Jamie to you.
Well, you're a wanna-be, wanna be better than me!

That's in the liner notes right? Some people are convinced it's Jamie. They do sound similar but like you said he sings backup for Jamie. However I prefer Tank's music and I think he utilizes his voice better than Jamie. Still, Jamie has a wonderful voice.
Rest in Peace Johnny Otis, Etta James, a Rhythm & Blues legend & a true artist you will be missed.

Eddie actually has a decent voice. He put a few albums out back in the 80s or 90s. PATT (Party All The Time) is probably his most successful song. He actually has a surprisingly nice voice. You wouldn't think that from watching his movies.
